Phoenix is the fourth optional quest. It is unlocked after completing the quest Find Shimmerweed and obtained by talking to Alma northwest of the town hall in Kalm. The objective is to find out if Phoenix is still alive on the Central Islands. Upon going to where Phoenix should be, the player will find only her egg. Bringing it back will complete the quest. Alma suspects that Phoenix was killed and you are rewarded with 1000 EXP and 500 Gold. One minute after completing this quest, the player may obtain the quest Fire Golem's Heart by talking to Alma again.
After the player acquires this quest, they can also hear information about Phoenix by buying it from Mae'chen for 175 Gold. This information becomes unavailable upon picking up the Phoenix Egg.
