The Ninja is a Tier 5 Warrior Job. Its primary attribute is Agility. Ninja is a cunning warrior who takes high risks to deal massive damage through unending assault.
Getting Ninja to Level 15 is a requirement for unlocking the Holy Swordsman job.
Abilities[]
Innate: Dual Wield[]
The Ninja can use another weapon in his off hand instead of offhand gear.
Q: Ambush[]
Dagger Technique
The hero swiftly moves to surprise the target. If the target is far away, the hero instantly moves to them and stuns them for 2,5 seconds. If the target is close, the hero instantly moves behind them and deals heavy damage. Costs 100/120/140/160/180 MP. Has 20/19/18/17/16 seconds cooldown.
If the distance between the hero and the target is greater than 420, the target will not be stunned but the ability deals 3x damage.
W: Battle Ward[]
Summons an stationary shade of a Ninja at the target location that attacks nearby enemies with shurikens. Lasts 30 seconds. Costs 150 MP. Has 5 seconds cooldown.
E: Yuffie's Shuriken[]

Throws a huge shuriken that circles around the hero, dealing moderate damage to all units it hits. Costs 150/170/190/210/230 MP. Has 20/19/18/17/16 seconds cooldown.
With the right positioning, the shuriken can hit a single primary target three times in one usage, though more realistically it will only hit twice.
R: Rage[]
Causes Hero to attack 120%/130%/140%/150%/160% faster and do 10% increased damage, but also take 60% more damage. Costs 50/60/70/80/90 MP. Lasts 20 seconds. Has 30 seconds cooldown.
Ultimate: Trance[]
Falls into a battle trance, making you survive all lethal damage for 8 seconds, but puts you in an exhausted state for 15 seconds afterwards during which you cannot re-enter Trance stats and your speed is lowered. Costs 400 MP. Has 120/110/100 seconds cooldown.
In exhausted state, attack speed is reduced by 80% and move speed by 30%.

The Legendary Master representative of the Ninja in Elysium is Dana.
Special Task: Reach DPS of over 99'999 in a time period of at least 5 seconds.
Getting Ninja or Thief to Legendary Master is required to be able to use the Zwill Crossblade Celestial Dagger weapon.
Strategy and Builds[]
Tips on maximizing Ninja's dps[]
In late game and endgame, Ninja often relies on Masakados and Trance to deal massive damage while being invincible. However, this strategy relies on him being able to finish off the enemy within 8 seconds, before Trance expires. Common ways to increase Ninja's dps include:
- Getting an allied unit (another player, Shadow or Golem) to tank so that you can maintain backstab damage bonus with a dagger.
- Utilizing elemental damage and technical bonus.
- Replacing Battle Ward with Necromancer's Death Screech.
- Replacing Battle Ward with Runic Shield and accumulating blocked damage against a heavy-hitting boss.
The last method is effective against even the strongest bosses in Inferno. With a good setup, you can easily reach the maximum damage bonus (+9999) from Runic Shield and unleash it on your foe (see an example fight against Shinryu Altana). Below is a simple setup to do so.
Equipment: Save the Queen, Invert Shield, Sleipnir or Stopwatch, Remedy.
Guide: You need to have the team Warring Triad unlocked from the 4th Battle Organizer in the Battle Arena. You also need to bring 4 allied units with you to the arena, one of which is a Chocobo. Good candidates are Naisha, Shadow, Eidolons from the Tower of Summoning -- or you can just tame 4 Chocobos. Then execute the following steps:
- Place you and your allies close together in the middle of the arena. Begin casting Cover on each of them from Save the Queen.
- Once 3 allies have been covered, summon the team Warring Triad. During the waiting phase, cover the remaining ally.
- When you see the word "Ready" in yellow, use Runic Shield and Trance.
- Let the Triad hit you and your damage bonus will go up very fast. Once you see it no longer increasing, enter the Chocobo to forfeit the fight.
- Leave your Chocobo and use Remedy to remove the Cripple effect, now you should have +9999 damage from Runic Shield alone. Drop Sleipnir, Invert Shield and pick up the gears needed to fight the next boss.
Note that the Runic Shield damage bonus only lasts for 30 seconds from when it's cast, so you need to engage the next boss soon before it expires. If the boss is in the Battle Arena, summon it right away. Otherwise, hire Shadow and place him in a safe area close to the target boss. Then, as soon as you enter your Chocobo in step 4, have it teleport to Shadow, wait until the Trance debuff expires, and engage the boss.
Footnote: while Warring Triad is difficult to unlock initially, once you acquire the Magic God Token, it can be saved and used in any subsequent game. If you have the Arena Completionist chronicle, you can also unlock Warring Triad at the start of any new game.
