The Geomancer is a Tier 4 Warrior Job. Its primary attribute is Strength. Geomancer is a warrior who crushes enemies by channeling elemental powers to strike their weak points.
Getting Geomancer to Level 8 unlocks the Lancer job. Getting Geomancer to Level 15 is a requirement for unlocking the Holy Swordsman job.
Abilities[]
Innate: Gaya Strength[]
Geomancer calms allies, making himself and any nearby allies do 33% increased damage when using elemental attacks or spells.
Q: Enchantment[]
Imbues a target friendly unit with the power of any of the six base elements, making their physical attacks deal damage of that element and increasing their damage dealt with that element by 20%. Lasts 10/13/16/19/22 seconds. Costs 150 MP. Has 15 seconds static cooldown.
The damage increase given by Enchantment is multiplicative to other elemental boosters, not additive. Together with Gaya Strength this means the Geomancer will do a base 160% damage with any active enchantment.
W: Gaya Rage[]
Axe Technique
Calls upon the power of the world itself, dealing heavy damage to enemy units in a large area and stunning them for 5 seconds. Costs 200/240/280/320/360 MP. Has 40 seconds cooldown.
Gaya Rage has no inherent element. Therefore it will take on the element of any enchantments or elemental strike weapons on the hero, and its graphical effects adapt to match.
E: Blitz[]
The hero's regular attacks hit a wide area, dealing additional damage to enemies nearby. Lasts 21/14/16/18/20 seconds. Costs 80/100/120/140/160 MP. Has 40 seconds cooldown.
R: Defense Plus[]
Gives a passive 5/10/15/20/25 armor and magic defense bonus. Can burst for 300 MP to double this bonus for 15 seconds on a 60 seconds cooldown.
Ultimate: MP Attack[]
While active, every attack takes 40/60/80 MP but deals an automatic critical hit for 1,4/1,6/1,8x normal damage.
Legendary Mastery[]
The Legendary Master representative of the Geomancer in Elysium is Ken Madoushi.
Special Task: Hit for over 200'000 total damage with a single strike, including Blitz cleave.
Getting Geomancer to Legendary Master is required to be able to use the Celestial Axe, the Scorpio.
Strategy and Builds[]
Spells to Swap[]
Outside of niche cases like the Kalm Sieges or anything else with massive amounts of mobs, Blitz should be swapped for a different spell. Eclipse, Drain Attack, Accumulate, Blessing of Might are all good alternatives.
In other cases, Switching out Gaya Rage for Death Screech or Runic Shield can help if you need more damage or more defense, though having a stun is helpful if the opponent can be stunned.
Solo Play[]
Geomancer is a great hero when facing opponents that have elemental weaknesses, like a majority of the Zodiac Braves and plenty of other bosses; however, when dealing with opponents that are resistant to the elements or don't have an elemental weakness, a different class will be better. In certain cases, even if an opponent is weak to an element, consider whether their armor type is resistant to the siege type of the Geomancer. If it is, then perhaps a different class could do better, though a Geomancer can always fully exploit an elemental weakness
Team Play[]
Geomancers truly shine in team play, especially when paired with Calculators and Prophets. A Calculator and a Geomancer can absolutely decimate most opponents as Imperil will typically give an opponent an elemental weakness, which allows a fully geared Geomancer to destroy most monsters. In these cases, it is imperative that all damage is maximized: Cameo Belt, Force of Nature, Ancient Axe, etc
Equipment[]
In terms of equipment, Geomancers have an advantage in that Armor Plus allows them to greatly focus on offense. Because of this, Geomancers can have great variety in equipment by donning tons of elemental gear and even go without a shield in favor of an elemental tome for maximum damage. On the other hand, a Geomancer can focus on survivability and still dish out good damage with a good choice of weapon like Ancient Axe and Enchantment. The choices are near limitless at nearly any stage of the game; Angbar, Gladius, Rock Punch, and all the strong elemental weapons can be used by a Geomancer to deal with foes weak to particular elements.
