Battle Organizers are the four NPCs standing around the Cup Organizer.
These NPCs allow you to battle with certain teams. To unlock a team, you have to beat it once in the game map and then meet it during a Cup fight (you don't need to beat it again in the cup, just have to meet it). Once a team has been unlocked, you can go to a Battle Organizer and choose to fight that team only, without having to go through the arena cups.
Unlocking all the 44 common teams in the four battle organizers is a requirement for the Arena Completionist title. If you have previously obtained the Arena Challenger title, you can use it to unlock all the cups, and you will still be able to get Arena Completionist after unlocking all 44 teams (but your teammates who didn't have Arena Challenger will not be able to).
If aiming for Arena Completionist, keep in mind that some of the required 44 teams cannot be unlocked if you have performed certain actions in the game. In particular:
- Top Gang cannot be unlocked if you spawn True Echele before completing Find Artifact.
- Elune's Huntress cannot be unlocked if the quest Naisha fails (if you let Naisha die too many times).
Unlocking Teams[]
To unlock the teams in an Organizer, since you don't have to actually defeat them, you must simply be able to handle the first two rounds of a Cup (most of these teams are met as final bosses of a cup). The most difficult cups to beat are the Demon and Dimensional Cups, for which you must have either a powerful Warrior capable of handling a variety of different foes or a powerful Mage capable of instantly handling most cups.
The recommended generic Warrior setup is a Ninja (replace Yuffie's Shuriken with Sharp Eye) with the following build:
- Hero: Zwill Crossblade, Artemis Arrows, Grand Helmet, Mirage Vest, Rosetta Stone
- Spirit of Gaya: Tome of Agility, Magus Rod A, Spirit of Lowtown, Tome of the Breaker
The recommended generic Mage setup is a Wizard (replace Fire with Blizzaga) with the following build:
- Hero: Magus Rod A, Book of Glaciers, Ice Hat, Light Robe, Force of Nature
- Spirit of Gaya: Tome of Agility, Tome of Phantasm
These setups can handle the pre-requisites for most if not all non-Battle Organizer teams. Once you do meet a Battle Organizer team, simply wait for the round to start and leave the Arena.
Chocobo trick[]
You can bring a Chocobo with you to the arena. Entering a Chocobo is considered leaving the arena and ending the match / cup immediately. This is useful when you start a cup but it doesn't have the team you want, as entering a Chocobo allows you to start another cup right away.
If you have the patience to breed some White Chocobos, they provide great buffs as well. However note that Chocobos may get hit by enemy attacks (especially AoE spells like Ultima) and die.
Tournament vs Survival Mode[]
Starting from 0.9.6.3 you can toggle between Tournament mode (with 8 teams battling in tournament style, so you only face 3 teams) or Survival Mode (with you facing all the other 7 one by one). Tournament is good for the stronger cups (Unique or Dimensional) where fighting 7 teams is difficult. Survival is good for the weaker cups as you can fight and unlock many teams in one cup.

Team 2 (Swordman)[]
Unlocking teams in the Unique cup is a bit different, as you need to defeat the initial teams (Cactuar, Tonberry and Malboro) in the cup to unlock stronger teams. Note that if you do not meet Cactuar, Tonberry or Malboro in the first two runs of this cup, you can look for them in the Island Cup. Alternatively, you can use Survival mode in the first two runs, which allows you to fight 14 teams in total, so that you will most definitely meet all three of them.
Additionally, it is recommended to unlock the Dimensional cup teams before the Unique enemy cup teams. The reason is that, once unlocked, many high-level teams in the Unique cup will also be included in the Dimensional cup pool. Consequently, if you are looking for a specific Dimensional team to unlock later, it will take a lot more time because there are more possible teams that can show up.

Limma[]
Limma is a Special type of organizer. She allows the player to fight certain superbosses again after different requirements have been met across the world. Unlocking all her teams is NOT necessary to get the Arena Completionist title
Many superbosses are available in the Dimensional Cup after you beat them in the game. After facing them in the cup, you can select them from Limma (after the completion of Arena Resources, Limma stands in the right side of the arena, next to the gate that connects the arena with Naga Island).
